TED Talks Potluck: Everyone Gets the Mic

April 29 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

A circle of shared ideas, lived insight, and real conversation

What would you say if you had a few minutes — and people were truly listening?

Wonderful Wednesday, 29 April potluck gathering 6:30-9:30 pm

Last week, we explored how people use ChatGPT in three simple ways:

  • to understand something more clearly,
  • to express something more honestly, or
  • to create something they want to share.

This week, we bring that into the room.

Some ideas want to stay private.

Others are ready to be spoken.

This Wonderful Wednesday, we return to the circle with a simple invitation:

each person has a few minutes to share something that matters to them.

No stage. No hierarchy. No long speakers.

Just a group of people, each given equal space to speak — and to be heard.

How the evening flows

We begin, as always, with our shared potluck — a time to arrive, connect, and settle in.

Then we move into a structured circle where time is evenly divided among those who wish to speak.

Each participant will have approximately 5–7 minutes total, which can include:

  • a short talk (3–5 minutes)
  • and a moment for questions, reflections, or connection

You are welcome to speak from any place:

  • something you’ve been trying to understand
  • something you’ve been wanting to express
  • or something you feel ready to share or offer

Some of you may have refined your ideas using ChatGPT or other AI tools after our recent session — you’re welcome to bring that in. Others may prefer to speak spontaneously or from the heart.

Both are equally welcome here.

This is not about delivering a perfect talk.

It’s about finding your voice in real time, in the presence of others.

A space where clarity, creativity, and contribution meet —

not through performance, but through presence.

Come as you are.

Speak if you feel called.

Listen if that’s where you are.

The circle will hold both.

Understanding grows

A voice finds its way outward

Shared, it becomes real
