Inner Wisdom Intensive
A Full-Day Ceremonial Retreat for Deep Inner Inquiry
Some insights require more than curiosity. They require time, safety, and a trustworthy container — a space where the noise of everyday life can soften and deeper knowing can emerge.
Saturday, March 21
10:00 am – 10:00 pm
The Inner Wisdom Intensive is a long-form ceremonial retreat for those who feel called to explore altered states of awareness with care rather than force, and depth rather than spectacle.
This gathering is intentionally timed to align with the Spring Equinox and the New Moon period — a natural threshold associated with balance, renewal, and the quiet emergence of new direction. The equinox marks a moment of equal light and dark, while the new moon invites inward listening and intentional seeding. Together, they offer subtle support for reflection, release, and conscious reorientation toward what is ready to grow.
Drawing on breathwork, sound, voice, rhythm, somatic awareness, ritual process, and conscious group holding, the retreat unfolds as a safe descent. Layers of tension and habitual patterning are invited to soften so deeper knowing can emerge.
This retreat is informed by the long, multicultural lineage of ceremonial practices that honour altered states — including contemplative disciplines, breath, sound, and respectful relationship with sacred plants as part of humanity’s ongoing exploration of consciousness. Across cultures, these traditions recognize that the human body and nervous system are naturally responsive to such experiences, and that meaningful transformation arises through reverence, preparation, and integration within a carefully held environment.
This work is not about chasing peak experiences. It is about creating the conditions in which insight can arise organically and be meaningfully integrated into daily life.
The Nature of the Day
Rather than following a rigid schedule, the retreat unfolds as a guided arc, allowing responsiveness to the group and the process as they develop.
Practices woven through the day may include:
• Extended breathwork journeys
• Medicine songs and shared vocal practice
• A curated sound journey led by Michael Ionesco using carefully selected instruments and musical sequences
• Gentle movement and somatic regulation
• Periods of silence and inner inquiry
• Group sharing and witnessed integration
• Ritual framing to support coherence and meaning
Non-drug altered-state practices form the structural foundation of the day, supporting safety, pacing, containment, and nervous system regulation throughout.
Nourishment & Fasting
This retreat is held as a juice-fast day, supporting clarity, sensitivity, and embodied awareness.
High-quality organic juice is included in the retreat fee and will be provided throughout the day. Participants are invited to approach the fast as a gentle, supportive practice rather than a test of will.
Preparation guidance will be shared in advance to help participants assess readiness and participate in a way that feels appropriate for their bodies.
About the Container
Deep inner work requires more than intention. It requires safety, pacing, and relational trust.
This retreat is designed as a contained, small-group experience with clear agreements, careful facilitation, and an emphasis on integration rather than intensity.
Participants are supported to engage at their own edge, honouring personal readiness rather than external expectation. The intention is not to push beyond limits, but to create a space where truth can emerge without overwhelm.

Who This Retreat Is For
• Those seeking depth within a safe, intentional container
• People in transition, threshold moments, or identity inquiry
• Individuals drawn to ceremonial process grounded in integration
• Those who value sound, breath, ritual, and community as pathways to insight and transformation
• People who feel resonance with working alongside natural cycles without dogma
No prior experience is required. A willingness to listen inwardly and respect personal boundaries is enough.
Registration & Readiness
Participation in the Inner Wisdom Intensive is offered within a container of familiarity, trust, and mutual respect.
Because the depth of this work is supported by relationship, participants are asked to have attended at least one Wonderful Wednesday gathering or other workshop, or to have completed a private session with Mariel in advance. This helps ensure a shared understanding of the approach and supports a sense of safety for everyone involved.
If you feel called but have not yet participated in this way, you are warmly invited to attend an upcoming gathering or schedule a session so we can connect beforehand.
Space is intentionally limited to allow for careful facilitation and meaningful integration.
Personal Responsibility
Participants are invited to engage at their own pace, listening carefully to their bodies and inner guidance throughout the day.
Each person is responsible for their own choices, boundaries, and self-care during the retreat. Participation is always by choice, and stepping back at any time is welcomed. The intention is not to push beyond limits, but to create a supportive environment in which insight and transformation can unfold naturally.
A liability waiver will be provided as part of the registration process.
A Closing Invitation
If you feel a quiet resonance — a sense of readiness to step out of the usual pace of life and listen more deeply — you are warmly welcome.
This day is an opportunity to gather in intentional community, explore inner landscapes with care, and reconnect with the deeper intelligence that supports meaningful change.
